Starbursts are simple designs that pack a punch. These great designs are wonderful for more elegant events such as dinner parties or weddings, but they are also great for more simple events, such as a family gathering. Starbursts are great ways to add some personality to your nails when you want to be beautiful yet don’t want to have a ton of polish on your nails.

Another great thing about nails starburst designs is that they are very versatile. You can position them anywhere you like on your nail. The starburst can be at the top, either side, or even the bottom and not only will you not lose the great look, but you can really shake things up. If you want, you can mix and match the different positions, so that it looks like the starburst is actually traveling around your nail.

To get a side starburst, start by polishing your nail red. Then, beginning at the center, put two pieces of gold striping tape (1/32”) one going to the upper right and one to the lower right corner. Then put a piece of gold striping tape (1/64”) across the middle of your nail, cutting it in half. Using the same size tape, place two pieces in each section. Space them as equally as you can for the best look. Then put a square stud over the spot where the tape connects to complete the effect.
