The designs of clothing and other things that represent the Chinese New Year do not appeal only to the Chinese. These designs are often very beautiful, and the red and yellow combinations are breathtaking. The colors look great on any woman, and are especially beautiful on those with darker skin because the colors will stand out more. It’s a great way to recognize the New Year if you are Chinese, but even if you’re not, it’s a great way to honor your Chinese friends’ holiday, or simply to take advantage of a beautiful color combination.

You can change the colors around if you prefer not to have the same colors as the Chinese New Year, but the effect may not be the same. The design is great for many occasions, not just the New Year, and will suit many different outfits. It’s a fun design that will attract attention, but not ridicule.
To get this great design, start by painting the nails a bright red. Then use yellow acrylic and make a big star in the upper left corner. Along the right edge, make four small yellow stars and then draw a white line connecting all of the stars. In the spot under the large star, just off center, make a big white dot. Make three white lines coming from that dot towards the bottom stars. Put a clear rhinestone on the dot and add topcoat.
